“Orange Cream” is a pied orange morph of Porcellionides pruinosus.<\/p>\n
Porcellionides pruinosus is a medium sized isopod that grows and reproduces very quickly. These isopods are also very fast moving and catching them can be a challenge! They have a powdery coating to them which sets them apart from other similar species. This species is great for large enclosures that need a clean up crew established quickly, and are also fairly tolerant of arid environments as long as a moist hide is provided at all times. This is one of my favorite species for bioactive setups due to their ability to tolerate a wide range of environments and establish quickly.<\/p>\n
This species will readily cannibalize each other if there is not enough protein in their diet. I make sure I feed mine a protein source such as fish food or freeze dried shrimp about once a week when culturing separately.<\/p>\n
