Description
Oniscus asellus “Skirted” is the wild type of this European isopod. They are a bit larger, flatter, and more oval shaped than A. vulgare, with a nice amount of spotting and patterning for a wild type isopod. This species likes to sometimes wander around on the surface, so I recommend culturing these separately if using in a bioactive setup with primary inhabitants that may snack on them.
