Description
Porcellio laevis is a large sized isopod that grows and reproduces very quickly. These are well loved by keepers, and for good reason! They are a large, versatile species that does well in a variety of habitats. They are capable of breaking down a large amount of waste very quickly.
This species will readily cannibalize each other if there is not enough protein in their diet. I make sure I feed mine a protein source such as fish food or freeze dried shrimp about once a week when culturing separately.
